Use of the service

You may use BackgroundBlur for lawful image-editing purposes. You are responsible for having the rights, consent, or permission needed to edit and use the images and replacement backgrounds you select.

No guarantee of segmentation accuracy

Automatic models can make mistakes around fine hair, motion blur, low contrast, transparency, reflections, thin structures, unusual scenes, and other difficult boundaries. Review and, where useful, repair the mask before relying on an export for professional, identity, legal, marketplace, or compliance-sensitive uses.

Availability and device requirements

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Browser and hardware capabilities vary. WebGPU may not work on every device, model downloads can fail, and memory limits can affect very large images. A WebAssembly fallback is used where practical.

Open-source components

BackgroundBlur uses open-source software and model assets under their respective licenses. Third-party notices are maintained with the source project. Third-party components remain subject to their own license terms.

Prohibited use

Do not use the service to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, platform rules, or the rights of other people.

Changes

The product and these terms can evolve as capabilities are added. Materially different workflows, especially any future cloud image processing or account features, may require additional terms or disclosures.
