How it works

Background removal is a segmentation problem, not a simple color deletion. The selected AI engine estimates an alpha matte for the foreground, and that matte becomes the transparency channel of the exported PNG.
Use Universal AI for products, pets, vehicles, furniture, food, and other objects. Use Portrait AI for a faster human-focused model. Clear lighting and visible subject boundaries usually produce the cleanest results.
